Connect Folio and BoldTrail BackOffice, and keep your entire team in the loop.

Folio automatically sorts your emails and documents into Smart Folders and enables you to create beautiful client timelines. BoldTrail BackOffice offers a modern transaction management, commissions, and accounting solution for residential real estate brokerages. By integrating the two, you can easily capture transactions from your email in Folio and share it with your brokerage or team in BoldTrail BackOffice.

You – the agent – can:

  • Sync your Folio Smart Folders with your BoldTrail BackOffice transactions

  • Share your documents, emails, contacts, and important transaction details with your broker and collaborators

As a broker, you can:

  • Retrieve the latest documents from your agent’s Folio Smart Folder

  • View and edit client-facing transaction timelines

  • Automatically sync timeline events with your calendar

  • Receive timeline event reminders and updates

Setting up the integration

The integration requires an active Folio account and BoldTrail BackOffice account.

Syncing Smart Folders

After you start working on a new active under-contract Folio Smart Folder, you can easily link the folder with BoldTrail BackOffice. When the folder is linked, BoldTrail BackOffice will display information that comes from Folio, such as key dates, contact details, emails, and a link to the Folio timeline.

  1. From your list of Smart Folders, find the Smart Folder.

  2. Click on the three-dot button next to the folder.

  3. Select “Share with BoldTrail BackOffice”.

  4. Confirm that you want to share the folder’s information.

  5. The folder will appear as an “incoming update” in your BoldTrail BackOffice transactions overview.

After you accept the incoming update, the page will prompt you to match the information with an existing transaction or create a new transaction. You can then verify the information that’s coming from Folio and add any other required details.

Syncing Folio updates with BoldTrail BackOffice

If you update certain fields of your Folio Smart Folder or timeline from Folio’s Chrome extension or the web dashboard, the changes can be reflected in your BoldTrail BackOffice transaction. Learn more about how this works in this help article.

Retrieve transaction-related emails

Since Folio organizes transaction-related emails into the transaction’s Smart Folder, these emails can be synced to BoldTrail BackOffice. This is useful for capturing relevant email communications for compliance purposes.

When you link a Smart Folder to or share updates with BoldTrail BackOffice, a PDF document containing the emails in the Folio Smart Folder will be uploaded to BoldTrail BackOffice. The PDF can be found in the transaction’s Unsorted documents folder. It will contain email contents and does not include email attachments.

Save documents from Folio

Folio automatically syncs any files that are attached to emails in your Smart Folder. When you'd like to add a document from a Smart Folder to a BoldTrail BackOffice transaction, you have the option to select the ones you want to sync. This saves you the hassle of saving the attachments to your computer and uploading them to your transaction.

Timeline editing

Anyone who has access to edit the BoldTrail BackOffice transaction will be able to view a link to the Folio timeline and open the timeline in a new window. If they have a Folio account, they will be able to edit the timeline from Folio.

Pricing

Folio Pro is provided as part of the BoldTrail Back Office Bundle. If your BoldTrail BackOffice subscription is canceled, your Folio account will be moved to our free plan.
