When you set up a Folio account, our algorithm regularly scans your inbox to suggest Smart Folders for transactions or clients you're working with. We automatically start filtering emails into the folder, but the suggestion needs to be confirmed within 30 days. If you don't confirm the suggestion, we will delete the folder. Your emails will remain in your inbox.
Approve a folder suggestion
If Folio found a relevant suggestion, go ahead and approve it by selecting which side you represent.
If you're using the Chrome extension, simply click on the Folio menu button in your account, and select one of the suggestions. A suggestion is displayed as light gray in your folders list.
The folder will be named after the client if we think they are pre-contract. If we think the transaction is under contract, the folder will show up as the property's address.
After clicking on the suggestion, you'll see a prompt like the one below. Simply click the relevant button to indicate which side(s) you represent, and you've confirmed your folder suggestion.
If you aren't using the Chrome extension, simply visit our website, and you'll find your folder suggestions at the top of your homepage. Click the ADD button under the suggestion, and select the side you represent.
Reject a folder suggestion
If Folio didn't find a good suggestion, don't worry, you can reject the suggestion and manually add your own Smart Folder. Learn more about how to create a Smart Folder by reviewing this article.
To reject the suggestion, follow the previous steps to access the suggestion. Then click on the "Remove transaction, Folio didn't get it right" or "Remove" text to reject the suggestion and delete the folder.
