With your help and feedback, our team is constantly making Folio better. Below are some of the bug fixes, improvements, and new features we've added to the product in the past year.
2022
September 9
- Fix: If you had a long list of contacts, you could not edit some of them from the contacts tab in the Gmail sidebar. The editing menu now appears for all contacts.
September 8
- Fix: When you click on the eye icon in the lower righthand corner of the timeline, you can preview what the timeline will look like to someone who has "view only" permissions. This preview now only displays the items that someone with "view only" permissions would be able to see.
September 1
- Fix: Sometimes the Gmail sidebar would flash between view-only and editing permissions. It was quick but confusing and has been fixed.
August 31
- New feature: You can now capture notes from your Gmail sidebar and our webapp.
August 18
- Improvement: The templates page is now faster! The page loading speed will be particularly noticeable if your templates contain a lot of events/information.
August 12
- Fix: We weren't sending email reminders for events that had a date but didn't have a start time. The email reminders are now going out for all-day events that have reminders enabled.
August 11
- Fix: Some users experienced a long wait after adding a timeline item or editing an item. This has been resolved.
August 10
- Improvement: You no longer need a minimum of 5 emails about a project, before you can create a Smart Folder for it.
August 2
- Fix: You can now input an email address into an item's notes section, without being prompted to share the item with that email address.
July 27
- Improvement: We have added a slight shadow over the timeline image in the Gmail sidebar, so that the folder name, tab titles, and menu buttons pop out and are easier to read.
July 21
- New feature: When setting up a Smart Folder, you can now quickly input the key dates for your project's timeline. The dates will sync to your calendar and can be edited anytime.
July 14
This update is only for Real Estate users.
- Fix: The "pending" status appeared as neon yellow on some timeline items. The yellow is now legible and matches our color scheme.
June 22
This update is only for Real Estate users.
Over the next two months, Folio will be rolling out a new look for your timelines, including these new features:
- Assign events - Organize everyone related to a transaction. Assign tasks by typing the @ symbol and a contact's name or email address in the event description. You can even assign a task to someone without sharing the entire timeline with them. The tagged contact will only be notified about the event that they're mentioned in.
- Label events - You will have more options to label and color code your timeline to make it even easier to see what needs to be done, at a glance.
- Add notes directly to the timeline - Add notes on the timeline without setting a date. These notes can be kept private, or shared and assigned just like timeline events. Learn more here.
If you have any questions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to email us at support@amitree.com.
June 6
- Improvement: When someone that you shared a timeline with visits the timeline, you'll receive an email notification.
May 31
- Improvement: You can now manually apply a timeline template from the Gmail sidebar and the webapp.
May 23
- Improvement: When editing your folder's settings results in emails being removed from the folder, we will remove corresponding contacts, task suggestions, and attachments as needed. So you don't have irrelevant information for emails that are no longer in your folder.
- Fix: The timeline update email correctly displays the information that has changed.
April 12
- New feature:You can now create Anchor events in your timeline templates off of which you can base the timing of other events. Anchor events can be used just like Key Dates as offsets for other events on the timeline.
For example: Create an Anchor Event called “Inspection”. Then set an “Inspection reply deadline” and click the “Anchor” check box to make the “Inspection reply deadline” dependent on the “Inspection” date.
