Folio automatically creates smart filters to organize your emails based on the Smart Folders you have created. You can always customize these filters or you can decide to delete them if they don't work well with your process.
How to delete a filter
You can easily remove the filter from inside your Gmail settings. Please note, once you delete the filter, Folio will not be able to sort emails for the Smart Folder it is associated with.
- Click on the settings cog inside Gmail, in the top right-hand corner
- Click on "see all settings"
- Go to "Filters and Blocked Addresses"
- Find the relevant filter. It'll mention the Smart Folder title.
- Click "Delete" next to the filter.
Deliverability email filter
In addition to your Smart Folder filters, Folio also adds a filter rule to ensure emails from our system are effectively delivered and do not end up inside your spam folder.
Why is this filter added?
After multiple users reported that emails about critical deadlines were ending up in their Promotions or Spam folder, we created a filter rule that helps prevent this unwanted behavior. The rule is designed to make sure that important Folio notifications and announcements don't get missed. However, you can choose to opt-out and remove this filter at any time.
How to delete the filter
- Click on the settings cog inside Gmail, in the top right-hand corner
- Click on "see all settings"
- Go to "Filters and Blocked Addresses"
- Find the "Amitree" filter
- Click "Delete"
