  • Why do I need to read and accept a new Privacy Policy and Terms of Use?

    • Folio was acquired by Inside Real Estate on February 15, 2024

    • As part of this acquisition, we provided you notice of this change and also informed you that we updated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to reflect the new relationship with Inside Real Estate. As we move forward with our new relationship with you, we ask you to review and accept these new terms.

  • Who is Inside Real Estate?

    • Inside Real Estate is one of the fastest-growing independent real estate software companies and a trusted technology partner to over 400,000 real estate professionals. The Folio team will continue to serve Folio clients as part of the Inside Real Estate family, paired with additional resources driving even faster innovation and greater service options.

  • Will Folio still be available?

    • Folio is not going anywhere. Folio is still available as a Chrome extension for Gmail and as a webapp. Your account is still fully functional and will remain that way.

  • What material changes were made to the Privacy Policy posted on February 15, 2024?

    • We’ve implemented some meaningful updates that you should be aware of. Here’s the breakdown:

      • Ownership Evolution. We’ve updated the Privacy Policy to reflect the fact that Folio is now under new ownership with Inside Real Estate.

      • Empowering Users. Due to comprehensive state privacy laws, certain users now have additional data subject rights. It’s a step forward in prioritizing your control over your data. We updated the Privacy Policy to provide you with data about these rights and how to exercise these rights. We also removed language for inapplicable jurisdictions beyond US & Canada.

      • Formatting Updates. We’ve refined the Privacy Policy to match current industry standards, ensuring a more seamless user experience. There were minor grammar and spelling updates as well.

  • What material changes were made to the Terms of Use?

    • It is now an agreement between you and Inside RE, LLC (Inside Real Estate) instead of Amitree.

    • We revised the Terms of Use to better distinguish between terms applicable to website visitors versus our Folio users.

    • We clarified our notification language regarding the use of arbitration, the class action waiver, and the jury trial waiver by including a notification at the outset of our Terms of Use to let the user know where to find details on these topics.

  • What will happen with my data and my clients’ data?

    • Your data will be handled in the same way it has until this point and none of our practices with respect to your data and your clients’ data are changing. Inside Real Estate will continue to process your data and your client’s data in accordance with our security practices, click here. There were no alterations in how we “sell” your data (as defined in applicable comprehensive privacy laws). You will be required to accept a new Privacy Policy and Terms of Use with Inside Real Estate.

  • Will my subscription price change?

    • As part of this new ownership, the price of your subscription will not be changing. You can verify your subscription status from your account settings and your plan from our plans page. We will continue to provide our free account option.

  • Do I have to take any action as a result of this change?

  • Will there be any staffing changes that might affect me?

    • No, there will be no staffing changes that might affect you. The Folio team joined Inside Real Estate and is excited to keep supporting you and growing Folio! In addition, you now have access to a larger network of support through Inside Real Estate.

  • Will you be working on exciting features in the future?

    • Yes! We’re always thinking about how to improve Folio for our customers and are currently working on several new features. If you have any suggestions, we are all ears! You can submit feedback through our support team (see below).

  • Will Folio be integrated with other Inside Real Estate products?

    • Yes! While Folio will have the capability of integrating with other Inside Real Estate products, we will only transfer your data to those new products if you request them. Stay tuned for more news about how Inside Real Estate will incorporate Folio into the overall suite of products.

  • Who do I contact if I have a problem or concern?

  • What if I do not agree to the new Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Use?

    • Unfortunately, if you do not agree to our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use, we won’t be able to continue to provide you the Folio service. In accordance with our Terms of Use with you, you can contact us at [email protected] to delete your account, or go to the account settings page and delete it yourself.

    • If you use the Google Chrome extension, you will need to delete the extension to remove the Folio icon from your email account. If you do not accept the terms, you can contact us (per above) to delete your account
